Why Caitlin Likes Her School So Much
"My ... classes have helped me to improve my ... skills"
The best classes I've taken so far have been my marketing and communication courses required for my major. My communications classes have helped me to improve on my public speaking skills, learn how to communicate and organize a group, learn about different cultures, and how to communicate in a business situation and/or organization. I've really enjoyed my marketing classes because I've been able to work with a group of individuals and develop a product and implement a marketing strategy to go along with it.
"[I get to] interact with the student body"
My favorite thing to do on campus is to interact with the student body in the Student Union or sit in the Student Government Association office.
"I am very involved on campus"
The activities I've been involved are Freshman Council, Sophomore Council, Junior Council, Senior Council, Student Government Association, Sigma Alpha Pi-National Society of Leadership & Success, Villa Fest/Homecoming Planning Committee, Food Committee and Service Corps.
"I can see other schools athletic events.
I have attended Towson University's TigerThon and TigerFest and other college's athletic events such as Johns Hopkins Lacrosse.
Why Caitlin Likes Going to School in Baltimore
"I wanted to stay in the area"
I've grown up in Baltimore most of my entire life and wanted to stay in the area. Also, Stevenson offered my major Business Communications.
"There are so many ways to get around the city and always something going on."
That's the best part of going to school near the city. I love Baltimore because there is always something to do whether it's during the week or even on the weekends.
"Always check out the Collegetown website or The Baltimore Sun for events and festivals going around in the area."
To make the most of it get a group of friends together and enjoy some of the historical sites of the city like: Edgar Allan Poe's home, Fort McHenry, the Aquarium, Science Center, shopping at any of the malls and so much more.
"In Hampden, we also have our own 34th Street and during the Christmas season the street is full of houses with Christmas decorations from the outside and inside. "
Plus, in downtown Hampden, the Hon Café is a restaurant with great food, and is a place to have fun. You can pick up HON merchandise and it's where the term HON started.
"I love going to watch the Baltimore Ravens play."
