Taking in the View: English Watercolors and Prints
Approximately 25 drawings and prints from the BMA's collection show the transformation of landscapes in late 18th- and early 19th-century. Works include views of specific topography by Robert Hills and Louise Rayner, imaginary visions by John White Abbott, and a merging of these two conceptions by J.M.W. Turner that reached new heights of beauty and expressive power.
