Collegetown is hiring!
The Baltimore Collegetown Network, a consortium of 16 area colleges and universities, is hiring a Student Outreach Assistant. This position will:
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive student engagement programs to involve more students in: art and culture activities, volunteer and civic engagement programs, internships, and leadership activities.
Manage Collegetown's online outreach activities by using social networking tools to connect students with each other and the community, and updating the website with descriptions of things to do in the region.
Serve as a liaison between students, service clubs/organizations, activity directors, and community agencies.
Assist in updating Collegetown publications.
Support the activities of the Executive Director and Senior Program Coordinator.
Seek opportunities to attract, engage, and retain students and promote Baltimore as a great college town.
The ideal applicant will be an energetic self-starter with excellent communication and organization skills as well as a bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience. We are looking for someone with excellent writing skills, an interest in working with college students, the ability to work independently, and excitement about Baltimore. The position reports to Collegetown's executive director and includes a full benefits package and competitive salary.
