History

It all started with two friends.  Ever since meeting in the sixth grade, Dan Sines and Josh Spears knew that they wanted to use their love of technology to create something meaningful.  On December 15, 2011, this “something” will finally come to fruition, and its name is Woofound.

Woofound has a simple but smart mission: find what you love and share it with those you love.   Using someone’s unique personality as a guide, Woofound will find places and activities that each person will love.   In the words of Dan and Josh, “This is a completely new way to discover and plan life, a tool for people to use to connect to each other and the world.”

After creating a profile on Woofound, you will be led to play the Slider, an entertaining and useful instrument that teaches Woofound about you.   As you play the Slider, different images will appear, and you will select if an image is “Me” or “Not Me.” The simple answers to these questions leads the very smart system behind Woofound to compile a list of places to eat, attractions to visit, events to attend and so much more!

One of the most unique elements about Woofound is its ability to help plan activities with the people who are important to you.  Once your friends and family have created profiles for Woofound, then the site will factor in the personalities of you and those you love in order to find a place or activity that you will all enjoy!

Woofound is not only helpful to consumers but it is also an incredible resource for businesses.   Small businesses can truly flourish with the help of Woofound, as we are a site that focuses on which businesses best fit with someone’s personality, not on which businesses are the biggest.  For example, we are working very closely with Richardson’s Farms, a small, family-run business in Baltimore County, and we have many ways that we could work with your company, too!
