CBS Radio owns 101.9 LITE FM, MIX 106.5 and 105.7 THE FAN.
Describe the interns responsibilities.
• Assisting Mr. Jon Blum and Mr. Timothy Edwards with daily tasks • Assistance with designing proposals, putting together refined media kits, organizing materials for daily meetings when needed, and designing signage with regards to register-to-win contests and other promotions • Developing and writing commercial scripts and copy • Regularly contacting clients as instructed by staff • Attending sales meetings and taking notes • Attending client presentations when appropriate and taking notes • Making sure daily files are stocked with plenty of client forms, promotional materials, etc. as instructed by staff • Basic filing, copying, and computer work • Assisting at Station Events around the Baltimore Market • Administrative responsibilities as instructed by staff
Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook • Proficient with the World Wide Web and conducting market research • Communications-related majors preferred (advertising, broadcasting, public relations, etc.) • An interest in radio and/or sales preferred • Strong written and verbal skills • Strong interpersonal relationship skills • CBS is looking for motivated, responsible, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and ability to work somewhat independently when required.
