What is the Organization's purpose/product/service?
Established in 1852, Loyola University Maryland is a Jesuit comprehensive university comprising Loyola College, its school of arts and sciences; the Sellinger School of Business and Management; and the School of Education. Loyola enrolls 3,800 undergraduate and 2,200 graduate students from across the country and around the world.
Describe the interns responsibilities.
The Web Design intern will be responsible for providing web design support to the associate director of Web communications. Projects will include creating website banners, graphic emails, working with our photo library to collect assets for projects, and more. Intern will gain hands-on experience working in a busy marketing and communications office.
Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.
• Proficient in Photoshop and HTML • Experience with Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, CSS preferred • Video and motion graphics experience a plus • Knowledge of website marketing and communications principles • Cross-browser/cross-platform design and testing knowledge • Excellent design and typography skills, with an attention to detail • Fluent with both PC and Mac platforms • Ability to work on multiple projects and to meet deadlines
