Baltimore magazine is America's oldest city magazine, celebrating Baltimore since 1907. Whether Baltimoreans want to know which crabhouse has the best hardshells or whether they want to read award-winning feature stories about prominent people, arts and culture, and sports, they know that Baltimore magazine offers the best coverage of the city.
Describe the interns responsibilities.
Baltimore magazine is looking for a summer/fall intern to assist the Art Director for Special Editions and Marketing. The student would be working on various aspects of two special edition publications: Baltimore Bride and Baltimore Home, as well as marketing materials for Baltimore magazine. This 10-15 hr/wk unpaid position runs from the end of May until December and will be responsible for the following: Duties: * Design marketing collateral for various magazine events including the Best of Baltimore Party (ads, posters, web banners, signs, etc). * Design promotional marketing materials (ads, sales sheets, web banners, etc). * Image and illustrator research. * Assist as necessary during photo shoots. * Organize and file tear sheet binders.
Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.
* Able to take direction and constructive criticism well. * Preferably proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator CS5. * Be eligible for school credit either in the summer or fall term. * Have own transportation.
