For more than 25 years, our programs have led to increased investment, growing numbers of residents, restaurants, and retail stores, improved quality of life, retention of key employers, solutions to transportation challenges, improved parks and green spaces, and workforce development opportunities.
Describe the interns responsibilities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: *Assist with planning, as well as day of set-up and strike of outdoor events * Generate and follow through on ideas for promoting events in Downtown Parks and Plazas * Build and maintain relationships with Downtown employees and residents on Twitter and Facebook * Assist in the distribution of the Partnership’s marketing materials * Communicate with events editors and calendar editors at local and online media outlets to promote organizations summer events *other duties as assigned by marketing and communications departments This position will report to the Director of Marketing and Vice President of Marketing.
Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.
Must be detail oriented, organized and able to demonstrate initiative and follow-up skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a motivational attitude. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced team environment. Strong MS Office and database experience. Facebook and Twitter knowledge preferred. Ability to work both inside, (75%), and outside (25%).
