What is the Organization's purpose/product/service?
Our Mission: Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake is a non-profit Christian ministry that works with people from all faiths and walks of life to build and renovate decent houses for affordable homeownership throughout Anne Arundel County and the Baltimore metropolitan region.
Describe the interns responsibilities.
Interns in our Finance and HR Department will be asked to spend their time at Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake assisting our HR and Financial Mangers on daily file maintenance, data tracking, and organization of incoming and outgoing payments. This internship will involve several projects including but not limited to the development and set up of an information store house for bookkeeping materials.
Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.
Interns in this position will be asked to be highly organized with strong computer skills especially in excel. Interns should have a want to learn about human resource development and financial management. This intern should be prepared for daily filing tasks and be engaged in the prospects of project development and office organization.
