Describe the interns responsibilities.

This position is a marketing/public relations internship in a legal setting where the intern will work for Wagonheim & Associates and its senior level management. Primary duties will include acting as primary liaison to projects coordinated with Profiles Inc., a full-service public relations company employed by Wagonheim & Associates, as well as coordinating online marketing initiatives on behalf of the firm. The intern’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: acting as primary liaison between Profiles and Wagonheim & Associates; organizing, preparing and distributing marketing materials; writing and editing of marketing copy; participating in promotional planning and strategy sessions; managing email marketing campaigns and other online campaigns; and creating, maintaining and updating a referral management database system and other database systems within the firm. The intern will also assist with clerical and general support needs of Wagonheim & Associates as needed. Additionally, the intern will assist in keeping the Wagonheim & Associates social media initiatives up-to-date, competitive and successful.

Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.

The ideal applicant would be a May 2010 college graduate, or post-graduate with prior internship experience in the field of marketing/PR. For the right candidate, this internship position has a probable opportunity for growth. Applicants should have an overall GPA of 3.0; possess strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills; and have an interest in gaining valuable and direct experience in public relations and marketing, particularly as it pertains to the legal industry. We are also considering applicants in their junior or senior year of undergraduate study.
