What is the Organization's purpose/product/service?
Our mission is to increase public awareness and promote the City of Baltimore as a preferred living destination. We aim to be a "hub" of information and resources that help people consider, relocate and remain in Baltimore for their living option. Interns should have strong work ethic and willingness to explore all aspects of marketing and sales.
Describe the interns responsibilities.
The Events Intern will collaborate with the Live Baltimore team to plan, implement, maintain, and evaluate Live Baltimore’s programs and events. Other duties will include administrative tasks, and assisting the Executive Director and Office manager as needed. Responsibilities include: Assist with the bid process for future events; Design Home Center display window and create attractive merchandise set-up; Assist with event volunteer recruitment and volunteer communication; General office duties and special assignments; Benefits: • Flexible work schedule • Help spread the benefits of Baltimore City Living and increasing the population of Baltimore City! • Learn and participate in the growth of a great non-profit marketing organization • Increase/contribute to public awareness of homebuying and renting!
Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.
Skills Needed: • Creative and outgoing • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Organization and time management skills • Comfortable working with and communicating with diverse groups of people • Current interest in marketing and event management is helpful, but not required!
