What is the Organization's purpose/product/service?
Profiles, Inc. is a full-service public relations, marketing and special events company with expertise in developing programs for corporate clients, non-profit organizations and individuals, and provides valuable media and public relations services to clients on a daily basis.
Describe the interns responsibilities.
The Profiles Social Media Intern will be responsible for assisting in the development of the company’s social media platform, executing social media/web 2.0 initiatives, electronically sharing Profiles news and the news of its clients, and suggesting new social media initiatives to strengthen the Profiles brand. This position requires that the intern stay extremely up-to-date on national social media news and be self-motivated to complete projects as needed.
Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.
Computer skills; Familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Delicious, and other social media and social bookmarking platforms; an understanding of social media and its importance in the business world; a passion for learning new things about social media; Self-starter; Strong writer/communicator
