Fire & Ice is the nation’s premier retailer for fascinating, creative and unique jewelry and gifts for you and your home. We are currently accepting applications for our incredible internship program. We are looking for energetic multi-taskers who excel in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and oral skills are a must! Knowledge of the following programs will aid in completion of duties.… Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook) Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Macromedia Dreamweaver All Fire & Ice internships are unpaid but we offer valuable experience that you can apply to your everyday life and in your future career. Positions will be in our corporate office located in Timonium, Maryland. Chosen interns will be involved in many exciting projects related to the successful running of a national retailer… a typical day would feature interaction with other departments, our stores and our vendors. Describe the interns responsibilities.
Our intern position will report to the director of brand marketing with heavy interaction with our website manager and marketing coordinator. This position is at our corporate office in Timonium, Maryland. The branding department oversees and manages all corporate and store level advertising, marketing, public relations and the design & maintenance of the company website (fireandice.com). A typical day for the intern would feature interaction with other departments, our stores and our vendors. This position offers an exciting, learning opportunity for students... not just one that features filing and typing. Please see below for a description of day-to-day duties… please keep in mind that there will be unforeseen projects that will pop up during the school year and they will be added to this list. Sit in on branding meetings to get a broad scope of departmental responsibilities and projects. Heavy assistance in the development of media lists for all regional locations and the corporate office. Also, assist in the development of press releases and press kits for product launches, trunk shows and other special events. Meet with buying team to assist in selection of product to feature on our e-commerce web-site. Once product is selected, photograph it, measure it and add to spreadsheet for inclusion to the copywriter. Once copy is received back; proof and forward to website manager for posting to the live site. Product selection also for press releases. Maintain on-going e-blast recap book. Research and create ‘undeliverable’ e-mails spreadsheet for each week’s e-blast to customer list of over 18,000 names. Assist with various outreach projects related to our frequent shopper program… ‘Treasures’. All projects will be measured against last year’s numbers for success rate. Various projects relating to in-store signage. Tasks to include possible design, production and mailing to all store locations. Assist customer service specialist in resolving any issues related to customer satisfaction, order fulfillment and the shipping of product.
