What is the Organization's purpose/product/service?

MileOne Automotive represents 26 automobile brands in 59 retail locations through the Hall, Heritage, Herb Gordon, Tischer, and MotorWorld Automotive Groups along with Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis. In addition, MileOne offers accident repair in six regional collision centers and provides rental and leasing services through the Allstate division in 9 different locations. The MileOne model provides for all the automotive needs of its customers conveniently, on their own terms, through the largest automotive sales and service delivery network throughout Baltimore, Washington, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia.

Describe the interns responsibilities.

Internship MileOne, the largest automotive group in the Mid-Atlantic is looking for an intern to assist our Marketing, Advertising, Social Media and Recruiting efforts. This job is perfect for the student seeking to gain practical insight into the workings of a corporate marketing department. Responsibilities will include: • Web-based research • Writing and copy editing • Uploading resumes into ATS • Posting jobs on company website and job posting websites • Helping with social networking, taking pictures, video etc. • Writing short blog articles about auto news (topics will be given) • Uploading videos to online accounts, i.e. YouTube • Other related duties as assigned by the Marketing Department

Describe the skill sets a successful candidate will have for this position.

• Currently enrolled in bachelor's degree program or graduate; ideally with a background in Marketing or Human Resources • Strong ability to multi-task, handle details and to maintain organization • Excellent Customer Service skills with ability to communicate effectively • Understanding of professional office environment • Ability to maintain confidentiality and be discrete • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus!
