The Disabled Student and Referral Services Coordinator is located in the Counseling Center on the first floor of the Miles W. Connor Administration Building within the Area of Student Development.

The Student Academic Support Services Office strives to:

The Services for Students with Disabilities Program coordinates services to ensure that students with learning, emotional, and physical disabilities have equal access to University programs. Resources for students with disabilities include a Braille Writer, tape recorder, Visual Tek Reading Machine, talking calculators, TTY, etc.
Some services for students with disabilities include extended test-taking time, note-takers, readers, mobility training, American Sign Language Interpreters, etc.
Students may also receive individualized developmental instruction from staff specialists in study skills, communication skills, math/science, foreign language, and English as second language

University of Maryland, Baltimore
Student Services, provides academic and nonacademic support services for students with disabilities. Staff members will work with you and your school to obtain interpreters, notetakers, parking, and other support related to classroom activities.
The Student Services office is equipped with a TTD device to communicate via telephone with hearing-impaired students. The TTD is also available for use by students with hearing impairments while they are on campus. For more information, call 410-706-7117/7714 (voice/TTD).
The following ADA services are available to all University students with ID: screen enlargement and reader software, including Magic Screen, JAWS for Windows, and Kurzweil 3000; text-enlargement equipment; and raised-height desktops. The equipment is located in the School of Social Work's Computing Center.
Villa Julie College
Villa Julie College provides academic support services based on the needs presented by the disability. These services may include, but are not limited to:
Extended time on quizzes, tests, and exams
Notice to teachers explaining necessary accommodations
The use of recording devices, spell check tools and/or calculators in class and/or on exams
Assistance registering for classes
Preferential class seating
Sign language assistance
Access to on-campus computers that are programmed for enlarged print and graphics
Referrals to other resources such as health services, rehabilitation facilities, and counseling options
