SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING
If you're looking for miles of trails and waist-deep powder, you're going to have to head up north or way out west to find them. But if you're jonesing for an afternoon on the slopes to tide you over until your next big trip, three small resorts within a couple hours of Baltimore will fix you up alright. All of the trails at Liberty, Roundtop, and Whitetail are pretty short, and a black-diamond trail here wouldn't be considered more than an intermediate run on a bigger mountain, but you can still have quite a bit of fun bombing these hills and playing on the pipes, lips, and hits in all three mountains' terrain parks.
