BALTIMORE CIVIL WAR MUSEUM

Part of the Maryland Historical Society, the Baltimore Civil War Museum offers fascinating insight into the role of the old line state (that's Maryland!) during one of the most volatile times in American history. Along with general and local information about the Civil War, visitors can learn about the slaves' escape through the Underground Railroad. Come and see what made Maryland such an interesting part of the Civil War in its awkward position between North and South.
