THE MARYLAND ZOO IN BALTIMORE

EMBARK on an awe-inspiring journey from the Far North to the Southern tip of Africa without leaving Baltimore! THE MARYLAND ZOO IN BALTIMORE brings you face-to-face with more amazing animals from some of the most biologically rich regions of the world: Elephants, rhinos, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, penguins, gazelles, warthogs, primates and more among the natural habitats of The African Journey. Polar bears, Arctic foxes, owls and other Arctic wonders of the Far North in Polar Bear Watch; Reptiles, amphibians, otters, birds and farmyard animals in the Lyn P. Myerhoff Maryland Wilderness and interactive Children's Zoo.

Open: March 1 – December 31* 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m (extended summer weekend hours - gates close one-hour prior to Zoo closing). Members and children under 2 are admitted free. Groups of 15 or more receive a discount on Zoo admission with advance reservations. The Zoo is handicapped accessible. Stroller and wheelchair rentals are available. *The Zoo is closed the 2nd Friday in June, for Zoomerang! our fundraising gala, Thanksgiving Day, and December 25th. Take a camera and plenty of film and spend an afternoon marveling at the many varieties of wildlife you can find outside campus.
