THE MARYLAND ZOO IN BALTIMORE

EMBARK on an awe-inspiring journey from the Far North to the Southern tip of Africa without leaving Baltimore! THE MARYLAND ZOO IN BALTIMORE brings you face-to-face with more amazing animals from some of the most biologically rich regions of the world: Elephants, rhinos, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, penguins, gazelles, warthogs, primates and more among the natural habitats of The African Journey. Polar bears, Arctic foxes, owls and other Arctic wonders of the Far North in Polar Bear Watch; Reptiles, amphibians, otters, birds and farmyard animals in the Lyn P. Myerhoff Maryland Wilderness and interactive Children's Zoo.

Open: March 1 – December 31* 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m (extended summer weekend hours - gates close one-hour prior to Zoo closing). Members and children under 2 are admitted free. Groups of 15 or more receive a discount on Zoo admission with advance reservations. The Zoo is handicapped accessible. Stroller and wheelchair rentals are available. Rides and concessions are available throughout The Zoo. Don't miss all the exciting events throughout the year including The Spring Fling, Brew At The Zoo, ZooBOOO!, and so much more! *The Zoo is closed the 2nd Friday in June, for Zoomerang! our fundraising gala, Thanksgiving Day, and December 25th. Take a camera and plenty of film and spend an afternoon marveling at the many varieties of wildlife you can find outside campus.
