Miss Shirley's is a Baltimore treat. A one of a kind restaurant that honors one of Baltimore's best known food educators who believed in the freshest of ingredients, Miss Shirley's offers a gourmet dining experience for the two meals you rarely think of as being gourmet. And don't worry. The pretentious feel you get at many "gourmet" restaurants, is no where to be found here.

Breakfast options are available all day long (something Collegetown is a huge fan of) and with so many choices it may take you until lunch just to decide! With classic choices like omelettes and griddle options like pancakes and waffles, and unique specialties including Breakfast kabobs, stuffed French Toast, and seafood deviled eggs, there's sure to be something to satisfy any breakfast craving a diner might have.

At lunch, enjoy delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches, whose gourmet taste and presentation put the sandwich store chains around town to shame. Lunch options range from classic cheeseburgers and BLT's, to the Alonsoville and Cape Cod Club. Plus, appetizers are available at both meal times, a rare feat in the restaurant world.

Baltimoreans can delight in Miss Shirley's in particular because of the seafood flare that is incorporated throughout the menu. With a huge percentage of their meal choices having come sort of seafood component, any true Baltimorean will delight in hitting up this bustling local favorite. While college students might find the prices a bit pricier then they would prefer (their equivalent of a Panera U-Pick-2 is twice the cost) the charge is definitely worth it, for a one-of-a-kind taste bud experience that shows what a gourmet breakfast made at home can really feel like.
