LEXINGTON MARKET

Established in 1782, Lexington Market is the world's largest continuously running market. Lined back then with the carts of farmers who had come to the city to sell their meat and produce, the market now houses a much wider variety of merchants, including sandwich and pastry shops, flower stands, and Faidley's, home of what many swear is Baltimore's best crab cake. Eateries serving up food from all around the world (including some great Korean, Japanese, Mexican, Greek, and Caribbean dishes) can also be found here, along with the odd gift shop and newsstand here and there.
