HAMPDEN
Once a somewhat insular neighborhood of born-and-bred, dyed-in-the-wool Baltimoreans, Hampden has undergone a renaissance in recent years as a rather stunning array of quirky-cool shops, galleries, restaurants, and coffee shops has cropped up along and around its main drag on 36th Street (known to locals as the Avenue).
MOUNT WASHINGTON
Tucked into the lush landscape of trees and expansive green spaces of Mount Washington and Roland Park, you’ll find stately homes and quiet little blocks of shops and cafés.
YORK ROAD CORRIDOR
There are some great deals to be found on housing of just about every kind in the many charming little neighborhoods in the area around Morgan (and just south of Towson), and the recently revitalized Belvedere Square appears to be a harbinger of bigger and better things to come.
