OPERA VIVENTE

Advertised as “opera you can really get into,” Opera Vivente specializes in performing operatic works in English. The group aims to attract new fans to the format of opera and help support talent in the Baltimore/Washington area.

This performance group puts on a few different productions on every year with shows recurring throughout the season. In an interesting addition for those new to opera, talks are given by the Vivente troop prior to show times to answer questions about the show or the opera format in general.

Opera Vivente also helps to encourage new local talent by casting local performers and hiring local talent in make-up, scenery, and other backstage areas.
