ATOMIC BOOKS

Much more than just a bookstore, Atomic's shelves are lined with ‘zines of all sorts, alternative comix, outsider-art books, toys, trinkets, CDs, DVDs, and assorted other odds and ends. The fiction section is small and highly selective (cool if you're looking for the likes of Lynda Barry and Irvine Welsh, not so if you're in the market for Terry McMillan's latest or a Hemingway volume), but the collections on UFOs, conspiracy theories, and the like can't be beat. Don't be surprised if you wind up getting sucked in here for hours.
