CYLBURN ARBORETUM
Cylburn Arboretum was a 19th century estate at one time and has since been transformed into a beautiful park where one can gather tons of information ranging from local history and wildlife to exotic trees.
The Cylburn mansion, a fine example of post-Civil War to late-Victorian architecture, can be toured Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Guests can walk around the mansion at will, observing the mosaics, marble fireplaces, finely molded wall and ceiling designs and the striking patterns on the wood floor.
Beyond the gardens are miles of well-kept trails for visitors to enjoy. The best time to come to visit the trails, according to employees, is in April and May, when many of the flowers bordering them are in bloom.
