THE BALTIMORE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AT JOSEPH MEYERHOFF SYMPHONY HALL

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra has worked hard to earn its status internationally as one of the preeminent orchestras in the world.
This year the BSO will make history as Maestra Marin Alsop will become the first woman to head a major American orchestra.

Not forgetting its Maryland roots, the BSO also works hard through education and community outreach initiatives to bring the music to youngsters in Maryland, and those who may not hear it otherwise.

Though it sometimes plays at venues across the city, nothing compares to seeing the BSO in its native habitat, an innovatively designed concert hall whose lack of both 90-degree angles and flat walls makes for near-perfect acoustics and an unobstructed view for each of the 2,462 seats in the house.

The BSO offers a special “student rush” discount for many shows -- get to the box office at 12:00 noon on the day of a concert with your student ID and you just might score a ticket for the low, low price of $10.
